How to make sushi rice

Cold water for rice for this purpose. Wash the whole grain flour with your hands. Drain the water and repeat the process until the water runs clear. You need to change the water 8-10 times.

Carefully drain off all the water, add 750ml of rice, and heat the water until boiling. First cook the rice on high heat (5 minutes), then reduce the heat, cover the pot and cook for 10-15 minutes, do not open the lid or turn the rice over.

Usually, we leave the finished rice in the pan to “rise” for another 10 minutes.

Moisten the half-cooled rice with a good amount of water. It is very easy to prepare. Add salt and sugar to the rice vinegar. Heat the vinegar over low heat until the salt and sugar are completely dissolved. 

The ingredients do not need to be boiled. Instead of rice vinegar, deglaze the spices with 5% apple cider vinegar or cider vinegar and 3% wine vinegar.

Add the spices we bought or prepared to the rice. Use a wooden spoon.

Let the rice sit in a cool place for an hour. At the same time, prepare the sushi filling. We cut fresh or slightly salted sea fish into thin slices. Peel and cut fresh cucumber.
